Jill Narcisi, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP)

Dr. Jill Narcisi specializes in improving your relationships, especially within couples and families, helping you restore healthy balance and resilience to your life.

Overview

Dr. Jill Narcisi earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has considerable experience working with individuals and families under stress, often serving as an advocate for parents and children alike. She is particularly interested in the process of individuation and personal growth, and has focused her continuing education efforts on techniques to foster change and development--both in individuals and within couples and families.

Dr. Narcisi listens deeply to people and their stories, and has developed a keen ability to identify and help heal the dynamics that alternately draw people together and pull them apart. This is especially useful in cases involving relationship traumas such as abuse, affairs, or divorce, but also proves valuable with general psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, loneliness and anger.

Dr. Narcisi's training and experience have prepared her to offer high-quality psychotherapy services for individual adults, couples, and families. She can help you improve your relationships, and your life.

Personal Statement

As a psychologist, I am especially drawn to the work of improving relationships, whether you see me alone or with a partner or family member. You might be struggling with a relationship right now, feeling alternately drawn to and pulled apart from a particular someone. Or you might be involved in the work of individuation, sorting through who you are in the world, distinct from your roles as daughter/son, wife, and/or mother.

What I do best is to listen, carefully, and to encourage you to listen, carefully, to your life. I help you notice how you interact with loved ones and with others you might encounter, what and whom you're passionate about in your life and what you're missing, and what your relationship styles can tell you about who you are, and who you might want to be. Then I can help you on your way to becoming that person, that truer you.

At the Willow Wellness Center, one of our strengths is our expertise in aging--and what we've noticed is that as people age, families age ... and not always well. Relationships frequently become stressed due to parents' failing health, changing roles, shifting responsibilities, and the realities of grief and loss. Old family hurts and jealousies tend to resurface, sometimes after lying hidden for decades, and families may need a tune-up to ready yourselves for resolving today's dilemmas and decisions.
